Quintiq, a global leader in supply chain planning and optimization (SCP&O), and textile manufacturer Vlisco, announced that they will host a one-day seminar focusing on innovative planning and optimization strategies that drive business results. The free seminar 'Taking Optimization to the Next Level' is being held at Vlisco's facility in Helmond, the Netherlands, on October 2, 2013.

The seminar will share best practices enabling top executives in manufacturing and supply chain management to improve efficiency by double-digits. Vlisco, the Dutch fashion designer and producer of African print fabrics, has achieved unprecedented results since implementing Quintiq's software, including:

- Reduced lead times by 50 percent
- Raised delivery reliability to as much as 90 percent
-Continuously attained record output

Planning experts will examine Vlisco's remarkable results and reveal how together the two companies are working to double Vlisco's revenue by 2015. The program will also include a live demonstration of Quintiq's production planning and optimization software and a competitive planning game that brings everyday planning puzzles to life.

"Launching this annual event is indicative of Quintiq's growing presence in manufacturing and supply chain management," said Jos Braam, director of business unit manufacturing, Quintiq. "Sharing Quintiq's vision and Vlisco's success story from this platform allows us to connect with important decision-makers and demonstrate how Quintiq's production planning solutions can support them in creating value and strengthening their competitive advantage."

"Quintiq has helped us to meet increasing demand with its intelligent SCP&O solutions, bringing us total production visibility, greater efficiency and higher levels of customer satisfaction," said Andreas Novak, director of manufacturing, Vlisco. "Launching this annual event enables us to provide a venue to support other organizations in determining their route to operational excellence."
