Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, the global market share leader in point of sale technology, announced Calvin Klein, a PVH Corp. company, has selected Toshiba for a European deployment of store technology solutions led by TCxWave, a flexible solution unlike any other POS, kiosk or self-service device. To date, more than 300 systems have been installed and fully integrated in just two months across Europe.

Calvin Klein is one of the most recognizable brand names in the fashion and apparel world, with quality menswear and women’s fashions stores across the globe. The TCxWave touch screen and gesturing features, along with its customization capabilities will enable Calvin Klein to provide its associates and customers with a consistent and modern shopping experience.

"We are constantly working to provide our customers with both quality fashion and a quality shopping experience, and Toshiba’s ability to deliver a versatile point of sale technology that helps drive our goals was central in our decision to invest in Toshiba TCxWave systems for our European stores,” said Arne Tjalma , Vice President, ICT.PVH Europe Calvin Klein.

The customizable units allow for seamless software integrations with both Toshiba technology and third-party applications. Working with Toshiba Business Partner KOEL b.v, the systems will run a third party, Windows 7 compatible application by software developer Futura Retail Solution AG that offers a unique experience and deeper level of functionality.

Developed by award-winning industrial designers, the TCxWave allows retailers to use the technology throughout the store to create a smooth and positive shopping journey. The versatility and functionality of the TCxWave point of sale unit gives retailers the freedom to use one platform for multiple purposes throughout the retail space. Toshiba’s goal is to help retailers effectively implement consumer solutions through a variety of channels – in store, online or on a mobile device, by providing the strategies and technology to drive their business goals.

“Our Toshiba team is excited to provide the next level of retail solutions and shopper experience to Calvin Klein and its associates and customers across Europe,” said Steven D. Ladwig, President & CEO, Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, Inc. “Toshiba is committed to delivering unique, cross-channel solutions that give retailers the flexibility to reshape their customers’ experience.”
