Calvin Klein picks Toshiba solution for European stores

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, the global market share leader in point of sale technology, announced Calvin Klein, a PVH Corp. company, has selected Toshiba for a European deployment of store technology solutions led by TCxWave, a flexible solution unlike any other POS, kiosk or self-service device. To date, more than 300 systems have been installed and fully integrated in just two months across Europe.

Calvin Klein is one of the most recognizable brand names in the fashion and apparel world, with quality menswear and women’s fashions stores across the globe. The TCxWave touch screen and gesturing features, along with its customization capabilities will enable Calvin Klein to provide its associates and customers with a consistent and modern shopping experience.

The customizable units allow for seamless software integrations with both Toshiba technology and third-party applications. Working with Toshiba Business Partner KOEL b.v, the systems will run a third party, Windows 7 compatible application by software developer Futura Retail Solution AG that offers a unique experience and deeper level of functionality.

Developed by award-winning industrial designers, the TCxWave allows retailers to use the technology throughout the store to create a smooth and positive shopping journey. The versatility and functionality of the TCxWave point of sale unit gives retailers the freedom to use one platform for multiple purposes throughout the retail space. Toshiba’s goal is to help retailers effectively implement consumer solutions through a variety of channels – in store, online or on a mobile device, by providing the strategies and technology to drive their business goals.
