WRAP's CEO to address ecVision's free retail SCM webinar

ecVision, the leading supply chain collaboration platform provider for retail, announced that Avedis Seferian, President and CEO of Worldwide Responsible Accreditation Production (WRAP), will add to the discussion on August 5th at 1:00 p.m. EST. The free webinar will focus on the state of retail supply chain social compliance and leading edge technology that is available for monitoring, reporting and remediation.
 
Issues with supply chain social compliance can be traced back to the mid-1990s when reports surfaced of the poor sweatshop-like conditions in numerous apparel factories around the world. Recognizing that such scenario’s could jeopardize the apparel industry as a whole, organizations such as WRAP are establishing and monitoring higher standards to help identify and reduce the prevalence of these conditions in factories around the world.
 
This webinar will address the following questions:
-One year after the Rana Plaza collapse and other factory disasters, has much changed regarding social compliance in the apparel and footwear industry?
-While there has been a marked increase in activity and emphasis on training and remediation, are the issues being addressed?
