Convergys Corporation, a global leader in relationship management, announced it has formed a strategic alliance with Ceon Corporation, a leading provider of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and fulfillment software for dynamic and bundled communications product offerings, to provide a comprehensive Enterprise Product Management (EPM) solution.

Convergys has also made a financial investment in Ceon, and jointly the two companies will drive a committed roadmap and an integrated product and solution set.

The new alliance begins with Convergys enhancing its Infinys Business Support System (BSS) with additional product management capabilities by incorporating Ceon's breakthrough Product Control Center (PCC) application. Ceon PCC is the communication industry's leading purpose-built and standards-based system focused on enabling service providers to construct, manage, and deploy a layered product catalog that includes the full technical and commercial definition of products.

Convergys' BSS offering, with the expertise and capabilities that Ceon brings, will now include the world's most advanced and comprehensive product lifecycle management solution built for communications service providers. As a result of this alliance, Infinys' enhanced capabilities will include:

• Product Lifecycle consulting
• Improved order capture
• Reduced new product introduction time
• Enhanced product portfolio management

“As convergent services grow in popularity and complexity, operators require a single view of products and services to speed time to market of creative offers. Thus, Enterprise Product Management is a pivotal part of operators' overall convergent strategy.
