NGC (New Generation Computing) announced that NGC received a "Strong Positive" rating in Gartner's "MarketScope for PLM in Apparel, Footwear and Accessories, 2008."1 NGC was one of 15 PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) vendors evaluated in the report and received the highest possible rating, "Strong Positive."

To be included in the MarketScope, each vendor of PLM solutions for the AFA (Apparel, Footwear and Accessories) sector had to meet a strict set of criteria, with products that provided capabilities in at least five of the following 10 categories: Product Management, Material, Concept Management, Storyboarding, Line and Commercial Planning, Sourcing/Vendor Management, Quality Assurance Management, Collaboration, Critical Path Management/Workflow and PLM Analytics.1

"NGC is delighted to receive a 'Strong Positive' rating from Gartner in the PLM MarketScope report," said Alan Brooks, president, NGC. "We feel this further validates NGC's position as a market leader in PLM for Apparel, Footwear and Accessories.

Our PLM solutions give NGC customers a competitive edge by reducing product development cycle time, providing end-to-end visibility throughout the supply chain, and improving speed to market.

We're pleased to receive such positive evaluation, which we believe is recognition of the strength of NGC's products as well as our professional and technical services."
