The General Store, a unique store in Manchester that brings five hugely successful independent brands under one roof, has invested in Eurostop's retail management solution. The store is a new venture and brings established brands, Ringspun, Elvis Jesus, Religion, Buddhist Punk and Bolongaro Trevor direct to the hub of the city's high street.

The boutique displays each unique brand to their best. The company has invested in Eurostop's WinPOS to capture sales at the till and WinRMIS for its head office system. The investment plays a key part in the business venture's growth plans as an independent player in the fashion niche market.

The company selected Eurostop for its proven expertise in providing systems for retailers in the clothing and footwear industry. WinPOS enables The General Store to capture sales at till point and track stock movements daily, managing stock levels effectively.

“Eurostop's solution was ideal for us, since it has been designed for the smaller independent retailer as well as larger businesses with many nationwide outlets,” explained Kapil Tyagi, Head of Retail for the venture, co-owned by the individual founders of Ringspun, David Mallon, Religion, Darren Collins and Stuart Trevor, who was previously owner of All Saints.

“The solution enables us to manage our business today, yet provide us with the flexibility as we expand our operations. “

Denise Proctor, Sales Executive at Eurostop commented: “Many successful independent brands have started to dip their toe onto the high street. Eurostop's retail solution is ideally suited to retailers since it enables them to manage and track stock efficiently and meet customer demand. For businesses new to selling direct to the customer, it provides an invaluable tool to oversee the business closely, managing profitable lines and costs successfully.”
