OptiTex 3D Technology expert to speak at NVISION 08

Eri Rubin of OptiTex is slated to speak at NVISION 08's Emerging Companies Summit, session 121 on Tuesday, August 26, from 1:30-2:00 p.m. OptiTex will also exhibit at booth 235 at the visual computing show, August 25-27 in San Jose.

“I'm excited and honored to address the Emerging Companies Summit,” states Rubin, OptiTex's Head of the CUDA Porting Project. “Addressing the key players such as game developers and industry entrepreneurs under the respected NVISION banner is a phenomenal opportunity for us.”

OptiTex is already the premiere 2D and 3D CAD/CAM software for virtually all sewn-products industries. It's become such a “must have” that leading educational institutions worldwide have begun training their students on its user-friendly design and features.

Since launching its foray into the digital computing market, OptiTex technology has already been leveraged by visionaries such as DAZ 3D. DAZ|Studio 2.0 is empowered by the first-ever independent virtual cloth solver for game developers and animators.

Now anyone can load in the DAZ 3D figure and clothing of their choice and experience real-world cloth simulation, including the ability to quickly alter the clothing's fabric type, garment size, and style variations.

NVIDIA, a recognized leader in visual computing, has paired OptiTex's technology with its CUDATM Toolkit, a C language-development environment for CUDA-enabled GPUs.

The combination of OptiTex's rich graphics and data intensive computation and NVIDIA's CUDA-enabled GPUs provides a high-performance environment for animators and digital artists via the integration of OptiTex cloth engine technology with the Modeling and Animation packages.
