PODO's In-Store SRM solution with Stadium wins acclaim

PODO, the experts in In-Store SRM (Shopper Relationship Management), announced that their deployment with Stadium AB, one of the largest sports retailers in Scandinavia, has been nominated for the Point of Purchase Advertising International (POPAI) organization's Digital Network 2008 Award.

PODO's In-Store SRM networked solution provides Stadium with unprecedented knowledge of their shoppers' behavior. Over a secure network, PODO gathers anonymous information regarding shoppers' needs. An interactive Guided Buying application in a networked-kiosk assists shoppers in their search for the perfect item.

Coupling the data gathered by this application with PODO's analytics and reporting services, Stadium receives valuable market research that allows them to better manage products, inventory levels, and fashion changes, and allows them to make real-time improvements throughout the shopping season.

"For the first time, retailers and brands are able to manage proactively the retail floor instead of waiting for historical data to arrive on a manager's desk when it's already out of date and largely irrelevant. Stadium's project is an excellent example of a retailer taking that extra step to improve shoppers' experiences," explains David Pattillo, CEO of PODO.

Since installation, Stadium has seen an increase in sales, profits, and staff productivity in the PODO marketed product areas. "PODO's service has drastically improved our monthly numbers. The average sales price has increased 17% between 2006 and 2007 as compared to only 5% in the non-PODO stores," says Mikael Pedersen, Stadium's Business Unit Manager.

PODO has installed devices in a large number of Stadium stores and provides on-going service including content updates, 24x7 monitoring and device maintenance.
