SYSPRO ERP to enhance Pou Chen's manufacturing efficiencies
SYSPRO, a provider of visionary ERP for the manufacturing pragmatist, announced that the company has won a new contract with Pou Chen Corporation, a global manufacturer of athletic shoes and apparel headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan.
SYSPRO re-seller Technologies International Inc of Chino, Calif., signed the deal and managed the earlier successful U.S. deployments, which enabled the U.S. operations to cut excess inventory supplies by up to 20% in 12 months with 97% accuracy and an average of 4 days to close a financial month.
The new contract adds SYSPRO enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions at two more of Pou Chen's divisions: Pou Chen Mexico S.A., manufacturer of athletic footwear, and PC Baja S.A., a manufacturer of women's apparel for the U.S. market. Both facilities are located in Tijuana, Mexico. SYSPRO now has four deployments at Pou Chen, including the two based in the U.S.
The Mexican Pou Chen divisions will use SYSPRO ERP software to enhance manufacturing and distribution efficiencies and achieve tighter inventory controls with Asian suppliers, gain real-time insight into financials and speed month-end closings. Pro Link, PC Baja's purchasing arm based in Ontario, California, will also be utilizing SYSPRO. Pro Link does the purchasing of raw materials for PC Baja, buying the materials in the U.S. and shipping them onto Mexico.
According to Tom Lantzourakis, Sr. Business Systems Consultant at Technologies International, Inc., “SYSPRO solutions are well suited to small and mid-market manufacturers and distributors, and its pragmatic, yet visionary 'PragmaVision' messaging resonates with these buyers.”
SYSPRO's more thoughtful approach to adopting new technology, such as web services and SOA platforms, also reflects the desires of its buyers who are driven by business needs and not by the latest headlines. This exemplifies SYSPRO's ongoing strategy of helping to simplify the success of its customers. SYSPRO calls its buyer landscape “PragmaVision,” consisting of pragmatic, visionary ERP executives that are driven by a desire for smart, but aggressive market growth.
