OATSystems, a division of Checkpoint Systems, Inc., today announced that it is sponsoring an RFID Journal Webinar titled Recession-Proof RFID: Justify Your Business Case with Cost Savings on Dec. 17, 2008 at 11 a.m. EST.

The webinar is designed to address the needs of manufacturers and other companies facing RFID deployment decisions in the most challenging economic environment of our time. During the session, experts from Rush Tracking Systems, OATSystems and RFID Journal will discuss best practices and proven methodologies to identify, quantify and deliver business results from RFID investments.

By attending this session, attendees will learn why the cost of waiting for the economy to improve before adopting RFID may be higher than the cost of investing now. To assist in their evaluations, all attendees will receive a new interactive ROI calculator. By inputting their specific business metrics, users will obtain the real cost-benefit of an RFID deployment.

This tool, based on real world deployments, will enable companies to better understand how they can realistically reduce costs and improve their operating performance with RFID.
They will also learn how to leverage an enterprise view to capture the true operational "network effect" of benefits across multiple lines, plants or divisions.

The strategies discussed will be supported by several industrial manufacturing case studies including hard numbers illustrating the typical benefits, as well as the real power of RFID is deployed in a single location or across the enterprise.

-How to calculate cost savings from real-time component, tool, container and work-in-process tracking.

-Why leading manufacturers have made critical investments in RFID during a downturn.
