Ecology Coatings names Kevin Stolz as CFO
Kevin Stolz (Chief Financial Officer)
Ecology Coatings Inc, a leader in the discovery and development of nanotechnology-enabled, ultraviolet curable advanced materials, announced the appointment of Kevin Stolz to the position of chief financial officer. Mr. Stolz replaces David Morgan, who left the company to pursue other business opportunities. "We would like to thank David for his contributions over the past two years and wish him well with his new endeavor," commented Ecology Coatings CEO Bob Crockett.
Mr. Stolz joined Ecology Coatings as controller and chief accounting officer in February 2007. Prior to joining Ecology, he was a principal with a Michigan-based management consulting firm specializing in financial and operational consulting services. Stolz spent two years as an auditor at Coopers & Lybrand, now PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), one of the worlds largest accounting firms.
Prior to joining PwC, he worked in commercial lending at JP Morgan/Chase. In addition to PwC and JP Morgan/Chase, Stolz held the positions of Director of Operations and Corporate Controller in the private sector. Stolz holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame and a BBA in Accounting from the University of Portland in Portland, Oregon.
"As Ecology transitions from technology and product development to commercialization, we are fortunate to have a CFO whose background includes not only finance, but the administrative and infrastructure functions that enable management to more effectively manage the transition," explained Crockett. "Kevin will assist with issues of product pricing, customer contract costing, financial risk and cash management, all of which are crucial to Ecology's success."
