ODIN, the leader in accurate RFID solutions for healthcare, government, aerospace and defense has been selected as a “Best in Show” finalist for the prestigious, third annual RFID Journal Awards to be announced at RFID Journal LIVE! 2009 in Orlando on April 29. Finalists were selected from scores of entries based on the business value their products will deliver to end users and the innovation's market impact.

ODIN is being recognized for its revolutionary new product, an industry first in self-inventorying container systems based on patented Blackbird RFID technology. The new ODIN product will be launched publicly at RFID Live! in Orlando, Florida later this month. This technology will greatly advance visibility, awareness and tracking for global supply chain and logistics functions, delivering previously unavailable and unprecedented management control from the factory to the front door. Most importantly this innovation is designed to be accurate and easy to use. The complete solution is deployable in less than a minute.

“ODIN Labs spent the past four years working on Blackbird and it will fundamentally reinvent the way people look at RFID,” said Patrick J. Sweeney, II, founder of ODIN. “What better way to introduce it than at the leading show in the industry, RFID Journal Live! Attendees will be the first to witness the fulfillment of RFID's promise to bring value chain visibility. We are excited to be a finalist for next month's event and have every expectations our new product will reinvent the RFID landscape.”

The RFID Journal Awards are given in recognition of excellence in the area of radio frequency identification. Attendees will be able to rate the “Best of Show” products by viewing presentations in the exhibit hall, and the editors of RFID Journal will then choose the Best in Show winner based on their opinions, the judges' scores and attendee input.
