O'Neill selects TradeCard to standardize its global supply chain

TradeCard Inc, the leading supply chain collaboration platform, announced that surf and snow apparel leader O'Neill has selected the TradeCard Platform to standardize workflows from purchase order through settlement and address supplier-related risk through online financial services available on its network.

The TradeCard Platform enables exception-based procure-to-pay processes and delivers supply chain services on a hosted platform that will enhance O'Neill's visibility into the movement of payments and products in the extended supply chain to eliminate delays.

"Automation and full traceability of processes in the supply chain will provide better visibility for us and our suppliers," said Hendrik-Jan Muis, Operations Director at O'Neill. "Financial services on the platform are a competitive advantage that will allow us and our suppliers to reduce the pressure many companies are feeling in today's credit crisis. Our suppliers will benefit from local support, better visibility into payments, and access to capital earlier in the order process. Helping our suppliers will result in lower costs and reduced risk for us."

TradeCard provides buyers and suppliers shelter from the current credit crisis by lowering transaction costs and enabling payment protection, invoice discounts and trade financing programs. The TradeCard Platform streamlines transaction processes for better cash flow planning.

"Credit and liquidity are primary concerns today for retailers, brands and their suppliers," said Kurt Cavano, CEO of TradeCard Inc. By connecting its supply base on TradeCard, O'Neill removes many of the financial risks and burdens companies face today in their supply chains. The combination of financial services and workflow automation delivers a unique offering for better control of physical and financial aspects of the supply chain."

O'Neill will leverage the TradeCard Platform as a central repository of transaction data to track information for supply chain performance analysis and evaluation. TradeCard's software-as-a-service (SaaS) delivery model combined with local support presence in 50 countries will enhance O'Neill's ability to collaborate with, and provide technical support to, its supplier base.

Suppliers access automated payment protection and trade finance products from participating financial institutions on the TradeCard Platform. Buyers, such as brands and retailers, reduce liquidity strains in their supply chains by making early payment programs available to their suppliers, and eliminating the need for suppliers to use their own credit lines for purchases.

TradeCard's services and global trading partners are delivered on a hosted platform that links more than 4,000 buyers, suppliers and service providers. Financial services available on the TradeCard Platform help companies of all sizes to better compete by improving margin and cash flow. TradeCard's global support team enables rapid deployment in as little as 90 days.
