Cost Plus World Market expands relationship with GSI Commerce

GSI Commerce Inc, a leading provider of e-commerce and multichannel solutions, announced it has signed a multiyear agreement to provide Cost Plus World Market, a national specialty retailer of unique home furnishing products, with e-commerce technology, order management and interactive marketing services, including design and e-mail marketing. Cost Plus World Market also renewed its agreement with GSI for fulfillment and call center services.

The new Cost Plus World Market online store is scheduled to launch on GSI's technology platform this summer and will provide a more savvy and enhanced online shopping experience.

“When we were searching for a new technology platform, we were looking for best-in-class features and operating capabilities at a cost advantage to what we could operate on our own or with another provider. After an extensive review of solutions, we determined that GSI was clearly the market leader in this space and the best fit for our needs,” said Warren Mazer, director of e-commerce for Cost Plus World Market. “We were similarly impressed with their marketing services offerings. Based on our experience with GSI's fulfillment and call center services, we knew that each component of their solution is world class.”

gsi interactivesm, GSI's digital agency, was selected by Cost Plus World Market to provide design and marketing services based on the agency's strong track record of creating award-winning site experiences. “Our renowned team of digital marketing experts is looking forward to providing Cost Plus World Market with leading-edge design and marketing capabilities to help them better compete in the home furnishings marketplace,” said Nick Pahade, president of gsi interactive.

Cost Plus World Market also uses e-Dialog, GSI's e-mail marketing subsidiary, to support its e-mail marketing efforts. In addition to providing strategy, e-mail expertise, and full-service production support, e-Dialog is working with Cost Plus World Market to deploy triggered e-mail programs.
