International Checkout Inc, a leading provider of global e-commerce solutions, announced that it has enhanced its product offering by adding support for Planet Payment's Multi-Currency service. With this enhancement, International Checkout customers can now enjoy the convenience of viewing pricing and paying in their home currency, creating a more comfortable shopping experience.

International Checkout provides retailers access to the billions of dollars spent online by international consumers with none of the associated risks or difficulties. With six years of experience and over 160 retail partners, including many of Internet Retailer's Top 500, International Checkout's record of success is unparalleled. International Checkout guarantees against fraud, provides shipping to over 200 countries, and offers world class multi-lingual customer service.

Within hours, retailers can tap into the world market with no investment of internal resources. With the click of an “International Checkout” button, the retailer's shopping cart is seamlessly transferred to a user friendly branded AJAX-driven single page checkout, which includes real time price quotes, settlement in local currencies, and guaranteed duties and taxes. Now with addition of Planet Payment's Multi-Currency Pricing Service, International Checkout's solution is truly a seamless global commerce solution, allowing customers to select their checkout currency and make more informed and better buying decisions.

Commenting on the solution, Saskia Strick, CEO of International Checkout, said:
“International Checkout is excited by the addition Planet Payment's Multi-Currency Service to our product offering. Our company's mission is to provide merchants with a quick and effective means to increase sales by expanding their business internationally, while providing customers with access to a network of premier merchants. Planet Payment's Multi-Currency Service is a natural compliment to our solution – now international customers not only can shop at their favorite store no matter where in the world they may be, they can also view pricing and pay in the currency they are most familiar with – their own.”

Philip D. Beck, Chief Executive Officer of Planet Payment, said:
“Planet Payment solutions are designed to provide merchants with tools to sell their products in higher volumes and more effectively. International Checkout's selection of Planet Payment's Multi-Currency Pricing Service is an another example of how merchants can use price localization to increase sales, by providing their customers with a truly local shopping experience.”

The first business to take advantage of the enhanced International Checkout service is Dr. Martens, a Portland-based company that sells one of the most recognized and authentic footwear brands; offering boots, shoes and sandals for men, women and children; with a rugged durability and distinctive style.
