PLM leaders come together to create PLM education content

PLM Boot Camp '09, the first Virtual Product Lifecycle Management educational event for the Consumer Products Industry, will offer two days of live education content on PLM followed by two months of on-demand access. PLM Boot Camp '09 is designed to help Apparel, Footwear, Retail and Manufacturing organizations tackle the challenges they meet in the development and execution of a PLM strategy, implementation, and deployment.

“As PLM Industry solutions providers we saw a gap in PLM education offered to the Consumer Products PLM Market” says Nancy Winslow, President and Founder of TBC Unlimited, and also the Conference Committee Education Chair. “PLM came from other industries and although a fast growing strategy for CPG organizations, it is still in an early adoption phase. As a result, information on PLM best practices, software providers and consultants is provided by a few publications and websites and focuses more on the marketing of products and services then on educating PLM buyers. The industry, to succeed, needs education without the sell and we have developed a 'Best in Class' program to bring this valuable information to PLM buyers and managers”.

The program, with back to back sessions that build on each other; has been developed to create in two days, ten's of thousands of dollars of value typically only available to companies who can invest in PLM strategy through 3rd party consultants. PLM Boot Camp '09 makes this available to big and small companies alike at an affordable cost.

PLM Boot Camp Keynote Speakers will deliver valuable information in Complimentary sessions and include:

Denise Seegal, a global leader who has held CEO level positions with leading retail brands including Ralph Lauren, DKNY, Calvin Klein, Liz Claiborne, VF Corporation, Nautica and Sweetface Fashion Co's JLO Brand.

Chad Jackson, the Vice President and Group Director in the Design to Delivery Practice at Aberdeen Group. Chad has a strong product management background in the Enterprise Software industry and covers PLM. He will share his latest research.

Additional PLM Boot Camp Speakers include leaders in Change Management, PLM Architecture, PLM Strategy, PLM Delivery, PLM process improvement, product Development, Sourcing, quality Assurance, Design, Material Management and Merchandising.

The PLM Bootcamp target audience includes: IT, Product Development, Design, Merchandising, Marketing, Graphic Design, Material Development, Color Teams, Quality Assurance Teams, Technical Design and Fit Teams, and C- level executives such as CEO, COO, CFO and CIO's that work in Retail and Manufacturing.
