VAI (Vormittag Associates Inc), a leader in enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions for the distribution, manufacturing, retail and service industries, and an IBM Premier Business Partner, announced that Rome, Georgia-based Syntec Industries , a manufacturer of quality marine, recreational vehicle (RV) and housing carpets, that also offers trims, vinyl, leathers, suede, fabrics, logo mats and adhesives, has implemented VAI's S2K Enterprise 5.0. S2K is meant to integrate production and financial operations at Syntec's multiple warehouse locations.

The company operates seven warehouse facilities -- six in Georgia and one in Indiana -- in which it manufactures carpet. Syntec, a VAI customer since 1998, upgraded to S2K 5.0 in spring 2009 and went live in September of this year. With VAI's robust ERP solution, Syntec has a fully integrated financial management system that communicates seamlessly with the company's manufacturing software. The textile manufacturer also has enabled enhanced retrieval of the real-time financial information it needs to allow for superior administration and enhanced productivity.

Cindy Breedlove, Central Region Territory Manager, VAI, commented, "Syntec needed to improve its year-end reporting mechanism, and S2K 5.0 includes the financial management capabilities that promise to streamline this functionality for the company. Syntec is a long-time VAI customer, and the move to 5.0 symbolizes the manufacturer's belief that VAI's solution and technical capabilities are industry best."

Joann Marvin, Programmer/Analyst, Syntec Industries, said, "We've been pleased with VAI's S2K solutions for over 10 years now. S2K 5.0 came along at a time when Syntec was ready to upgrade our package, and VAI's service team and understanding of the manufacturing industry made the implementation a seamless process. We look forward to many years of continued partnership with VAI."

S2K Enterprise 5.0 is the industry's most innovative enterprise management software. With streamlined navigation and redesigned screens, this VAI software package provides increased flexibility, greater information access and a built-in database. By monitoring every aspect of a multi-faceted enterprise, this software improves the performance of each employee as resources are allocated more effectively and response time becomes increasingly rapid.
