Maple Lake to unveil new corporate branding campaign

Maple Lake Ltd. has invited 50 specialty retailers to midtown Manhattan's hip new location, The Ace Hotel, for a “Decade of Celebration,” technology collaboration and the unveiling of Maple Lake's new corporate branding campaign. The one-day event, Jan. 13, includes participation from such retailers as Aeropostale, Club Monaco and Cole Haan.

“Hosting our customers at a venue that is at the front of new trends and design is the ideal setting for collaborating with our customers while showcasing Maple Lake's new corporate identity,” said Stuart Aldridge, chief executive officer of Maple Lake, based in Markham, Ontario, Canada.

Maple Lake initiated a “fresher, bolder” corporate brand in September 2009, said Aldridge. “Our logo has always been a maple leaf landing on a ripple of water—a nice aesthetic since we formed the company in rural Canada, near a lake. But today, we're a strong 10-year-old company, growing market player and niche innovator. Our success comes from delivering something specialty retailers rarely get: Personal service and relationship coupled with highly innovative software and solutions that solve real problems and generate real returns. We're a company of innovation, good people and we have great clients.”

The new corporate branding includes a new corporate logo, letterhead and business cards, marketing materials and a new Web site design. Maple Lake worked with Toronto-based Jump Communications, a full-service, fully accredited agency providing communication services for print, interactive, television and radio, to create the brand.

For an entire day, 50 retailers gather at the Ace Hotel to showcase how they use Maple Lake's software as a competitive advantage to increase sales, profits and reduce average inventories. The day's events include sneak previews of the new developments in progress as well as valuable peer-to-peer networking opportunities for the retailers.

This year's client forum follows Maple Lake's participation at the National Retail Federation Expo in New York, one of the world's largest retail-specific trade shows. Maple Lake is a show exhibitor, and is showcasing its newest software suite—QuickAssortment, QuickAllocation and QuickAnalytics. These applications help retailers in footwear and apparel, among other specialties, better identify, analyze, anticipate and execute what they place on their sales floors to deliver localized assortments and increase sales and profits.

Maple Lake Ltd. is a software and services provider for specialty retailers across Canada, the United States, United Kingdom, Europe and Australia. The company offers QuickAssortment, QuickAllocation and QuickAnalytics, a set of applications that refines assortment management, allocation planning and Open To Buy efforts for maximum sales and profitability. The company's customers represent more than 10,000 retail locations, and include retailers such as Aeropostale, Arcadia Group, and Barneys New York. Maple Lake, based in Markham, Ontario, Canada, was formed in July 2000 and is privately held.
