Art Technology Group Inc, the premier provider of cross-channel commerce solutions, announced that Brazilian sports retailer Netshoes has successfully completed the re-platform and re-launch of its web store using ATG Commerce as the foundation for a new, personalized site.

Visitors to www.netshoes.com.br are now treated to a completely customized experience, driven by sophisticated targeting and search merchandising that allows Netshoes to present shoppers with relevant content, promotions and product options, which helps customers find what they are looking for more efficiently while also helping the company increase sales.

Using ATG Commerce, Netshoes is now able to easily and quickly adjust merchandising strategies to cater to the needs and preferences of its customers. Each time a new or returning customer lands on the Netshoes site or conducts a product search while browsing, he or she will see product suggestions, offers and content optimized specifically for him or her.

With an online population of more than 80 million, Brazil is South America's largest Internet market and now has more Internet users than any single country in Europe, according to Forrester Research. Netshoes' Web enhancements are indicative of a broader opportunity for online merchants to tap into this rapidly growing market by improving the online experience with personalization tools that are used so successfully by many leading, global retailers.

"In re-launching our online store with ATG Commerce, it was important for us to deliver a superior customer experience that delights all shoppers and helps them find the quality apparel, footwear, accessories, and equipment they seek," said Marcio Kumruian, chief operating officer and founder of Netshoes. "Our new site will help us achieve significant growth because it allows us to exercise more control and ensure that our 'customer-first' mentality is carried throughout every shopping session, driving more sales and encouraging greater loyalty."

Netshoes worked with two key ATG partners for the ATG Commerce implementation: F.biz, a leading interactive agency in Brazil, and Object Edge, an IT solution services company. F.biz is a key, long-term Netshoes partner and is responsible for the overall e-commerce and sales conversion strategy for Netshoes. Object Edge, a strong ATG partner with unique business and technology e-commerce accelerators, has met the dynamic marketing needs of Netshoes. Both companies were instrumental in getting the new site launched to the high satisfaction of the customer.

“Netshoes is one of South America's most well-respected retail brands and they are seizing a rich market opportunity by leveraging the advanced personalization features that are unique to ATG,” said Nina McIntyre, ATG's senior vice president of marketing and chief marketing officer. “This move will most certainly help their team increase sales, stay ahead of their competitors, and set the standard for a market-leading web experience in this exciting market.”
