May '11
One of Europe's leading 3D white light body scan suppliers, [TC]2 and AVA CAD CAM, the leading independent advisor for digital print systems, are to make their technologies available for visitors to 'experience' at the ASBCI's forthcoming interactive sizing and fashion technology workshop and seminar 'Meet the experts; experience the technology!' The two-day workshop and seminar is being held at the 1880 & Legends Suite, Leicester Tigers, Welford Road Stadium on Tuesday 17th May 2011 from 10.00am to 5.00pm and on Wednesday 18th May from 9.00am to 4.00pm.

TC[2]'s full size white light scanner will be available to try alongside the Alvanon Group's Intellifit radio wave scanner and a laser scanner supplied by fellow workshop participant Assyst Bullmer's UK partner Human Solutions GmBH. Furthermore AVA CAD CAM will be updating visitors on the latest digital printing technologies. TC[2] and AVA CAD CAM will be showing their fashion technology solutions alongside Alvanon, Assyst Bullmer UK partner of Human Solutions, CAD Modelling, Incorporatewear, Lectra UK Ltd, Select Research, Shop Direct Group, Sizemic, Verivide and Pantone. A seminar will run parallel to the workshop event and the agenda is detailed at the end of this bulletin.

The ASBCI interactive sizing and fashion technology workshop and seminar is the latest in a series of events organised by the association to familiarise the UK's fashion supply chain professionals with the very latest developments in sizing and fit strategies and technologies. Previous 'sector specific' seminars run by the association have addressed sizing and fit issues in childrenswear, fashion & corporate wear and in lingerie, swimwear and sportswear.

Formed in 1992 the Association of Suppliers to the British Clothing Industry, ASBCI, is a not for profit organisation that plays a key technical role within the garment and textile sectors. In addition to technical conferences, forums and seminars on important issues, such as sizing and REACH, it organises regular technical/educational visits to companies across the supply chain and produces highly acclaimed technical handbooks, many of which are recommended texts on fashion-related courses around the world.
