A|X Armani Exchange has chosen Assess Systems to provide pre-employment testing of all stock and sales associates for both their Canadian and U.S. operations.

A|X Armani Exchange is the youth-oriented label created by Italian designer and entrepreneur Giorgio Armani. Launched in 1991, A|X Armani Exchange is one of the leading fashion brands in the world today. The company designs, manufactures, distributes and retails fashion and lifestyle products, including apparel, accessories, eyeware and jewelry, in 200 stores worldwide.

A|X Armani Exchange chose to implement pre-employment testing to improve candidate fit and to ensure that they source and hire the candidates that are highly customer-driven and sales-focused. Assess worked with A|X Armani Exchange to identify what success looks like for its retail team, then determined which critical capabilities contribute to that success.

A|X Armani Exchange felt that Assess Systems' strong technology platform and Web-based access aligned well with their target demographic of tech-savvy applicants. In addition to reaching the appropriate candidates, incorporating Web-based assessments earlier in the hiring process passes fewer, but higher quality, candidates on to the next level.

"We are always looking for qualified associates that can provide top-level service to our clients. Working with Assess Systems helps guide us through the process with good pre-employement screen, personality assessments, and sales aptitude assessments," said David Kosten, executive vice president of human resources for A|X Armani Exchange.

"A|X Armani Exchange understands that the quality of a company's people and their interactions with customers are huge differentiators," said Diane Ianni, vice president of marketing and sales for Assess Systems. "As the brand continues its aggressive expansion, we look forward to providing them with the tools they need to hire associates who will best represent the Armani name."
