Shopkeep partners with software provider BigCommerce

ShopKeep, the cloud-based technology solution that transforms an iPad into a smart, connected cash register used by more than 23,000 independent businesses, has announced a partnership with ecommerce software provider BigCommerce. It enables ShopKeep merchants the ability to seamlessly integrate an ecommerce platform through their Point of Sale (POS) system.

ShopKeep customers can now tap into secure and robust omni-channel capabilities to extend their brand beyond the physical storefront, bolstering customer access and loyalty to drive sales growth.

"Our collaboration with BigCommerce is a step forward for our customers who want to expand their presence digitally. ShopKeep's mission is to democratise access to next generation technology for independent retailers and business owners, enabling them to engage seamlessly with their customers across multiple channels, an advantage reinforced by our partnership with BigCommerce," said Mike Sommers, senior vice president of product management at ShopKeep.

"We want to ensure business owners can preserve the customer experience central to their community engagement, but with the opportunity to enhance loyalty and services with the omni-channel versatility often reserved for larger retailers," added Sommers.

The new partnership further extends ShopKeep's mission to empower independent business owners by equipping them with the tools they need to be successful in a changing retail environment. As spending continues to shift towards ecommerce, small and medium sized merchants are increasingly looking for ways to extend their digital presence. ShopKeep's integration with BigCommerce provides merchants with a simple solution for omni-channel selling, while improving the customer shopping experience.

"Historically, retailers selling both in-store and online have been forced to manage individual channel sales through disparate systems, often resulting in operational strain. The integration of BigCommerce is the latest partnership ShopKeep has forged to give merchants access to powerful business management solutions. The continued enhancements and integrations to the ShopKeep POS system are a direct result of feedback from merchants of all sizes. Through a series of recent partnerships, ShopKeep has provided merchants with access to new features to optimise email campaigns, automate accounting and bolster customer loyalty, among other key operational benefits.
