For the first time ever, a fashion CAD system being offered online gives users the opportunity to try the software and explore the different functions on their personal computers.
Since its inception, Tukatech has aimed to put powerful software in the hands of all companies, from large establishments to start-up freelancers. TUKAcenters have allowed smaller manufacturers and independent freelancers to use TUKA systems without having to buy systems outright. The monthly subscription program is more accessible to users of all levels, especially students. By offering TUKAcad-CLE, virtually anyone can try the software for themselves before they begin implementation, according to a press release.
Lorrie Ivas, associate professor of business/retail/fashion at Santa Monica College said, “It is gratifying to work with Tukatech, a company so in-tune with the future of the art, business and technology of the fashion industry and, most importantly, the future of our students – the future fashion professionals. The Tukatech team has constantly supported SMC's mission of academic integrity, assisting in the development of skills needed to prepare students for fulfilling careers.”
Ram Sareen, founder and chief executive officer of Tukatech said, “Over 500 fashion schools, universities, and state-run training centres around the world teach with TUKAcad systems, many of which require their students to subscribe to TUKAcad LE. The students work on their own computers and submit homework digitally, which familiarises them with the software and prepares them to work in the industry. Fresh graduates understand the foundation of fashion, the skill of pattern making, and balancing the garment, and are now adding instant value to their first employers. The TUKAcad-CLE subscription along with our built-in audio/video help gives students the opportunity to learn the entire CAD system at their convenience.” (GK)
