What: North Carolina State University's College of Textiles will hold its fifth annual Research Open House. The event includes opportunities to tour the college, discuss research and product development with faculty and graduate students, and participate in discussions about the college's research directions.
Information, discussions and demonstrations will highlight current research involving medical textiles, homeland security, nonwovens, nanotextiles, polymer and color chemistry, textile engineering, fashion design, merchandising, marketing, management, supply chain, and biotextiles. Graduate students will present research projects in a poster session, and industry representatives will serve as judges in selecting the most outstanding poster presentation.
Textile and apparel management seniors will hold a reception that will showcase students' work in apparel production, textiles design and other special projects. The reception will be followed by a “Senior Showcase Fashion Show,” presenting more than 60 new student designs.

When: Tuesday, April 17, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: All events will be held at the College of Textiles, located on NC State's Centennial Campus. Upon entering Centennial Campus via Avent Ferry Road, proceed east on Varsity Drive. Turn right at the stop sign (Main Campus Drive). Continue past the next stop sign at Research Drive. The College of Textiles is on the right. Students will direct attendees to assigned parking lots.
