Retail Management - A retail store manager is responsiblefor overseeing every aspect of his/her store's operations. From ensuring thehuman resource department keeps the store well staffed to working with theadvertising department to decide which items will be placed on sale, themanager must make the store run well while satisfying ever-changing consumerdemands and turning a profit.


What Qualifications Are Needed?


Qualifications will depend a great deal on the position youpursue within the Fashion Merchandising field. The geographic location willalso play a role. For instance, a company or store in Arizona may have anentirely different set of requirements than a company in New Jersey. Collegedegrees can often be a requirement for occupations that are not consideredentry-level.
