In this study, the author has tried to explore the complementary effects of economic crisis on Indian retail sector. In this concern, I explain the concept of retailing, economic crisis and proposed strategies to cope economic crisis for the retailer. I argue that failing to take the effect of economic crisis into consideration, the Indian retailer may undergo for long term losses. Moreover, I provide some strategies to face this crisis. This article provides information about decision making strategies of Indian retailers to cope up with economic crisis. The paper suggests strategies to be adopted by Indian retailers to cope with the economic slowdown, to maintain market share and profitability.
