In case you have not heard of microfiber it is a product out of Sweden. It is used for quite a few things such as cleaning cloths, some clothing, and several types of furniture.

Much of the furniture such as sofas for example, has a polyester base and the microfiber is used as a top covering. The polyester absorbs color much better than some other materials and once the chemical process is complete other treatments are not necessary.

The nature of microfiber is to be stain resistant so, in most cases if you were to purchase a sofa you would not need other stain fighting products like Scotch Guard. Be sure you have real microfiber and not an imposter and if staining is of some concern to you be sure to ask the store owner about an extended protection plan.

Because of the soft nature of this material, cleaning cloths are another popular product made from microfiber. The cloths are made of polyester and a polymide blend that has a static charge. Once the dirt is collected on the cloth it stays, making them ideal for allergy sufferers. For normal cleaning you might want to add a couple drops of your favorite dish soap. Another nice feature is that microfiber cloths pick up much of the bacteria from the surfaces you are cleaning. A little water and a microfiber cloth will do the job most of the time. Not only is this much easier it also does away with many of the chemicals most of us were using to clean our homes. Now, if that does not get your attention, I cannot help you. The point is microfiber is a real workhorse when it comes to cleaning. When it comes to some hard to remove stains you might want to add a little white vinegar and maybe some distilled water. Other cleaning jobs microfiber is good at and again much less work is window cleaning, I don't know of anyone who likes this job, but microfiber makes it much easier. You might want to use two cloths for this job, one with a little window cleaner added and one to dry the windows.

Some surfaces need this special cloth, like granite for instance; it will help you keep that shine of the surface much easier. Another good thing about microfiber cloths is that they are reusable, just wash them in very hot water a little dish detergent, rinse and let dry. They will be as good as new and ready for the next job.

Now you ask, where can I buy these cloths? Almost any place that has an automotive section should carry them. You might want to buy several sets, they are around $5 a set and each set will normally contain five or six cloths.

Give microfiber a try I think you will be amazed and will come back for more. Oh, and be sure to tell your friends about microfiber they will thank you for it.
