In a world where irresponsible use of chemical products iscausing irreparable damage to the environment, use of eco friendly fibres is aninitiative with a vision to bring about a drastic reduction in global consumptionof harmful non -bio degradable products. Due to the threat of global warming we should use eco ways to livelife. Indian Culture is inherently based on protection of the source thatsustains our life and in turn becomes larger than life.


It is simple practices of everyday life that makes India an effectively ecofriendly nation. Environmentally friendly (also eco-friendly,nature friendly, and green) are synonyms used to refer to goods and services,laws, guidelines and policies considered to ...inflict minimal or no harm onthe environment. For good environment health people should engage inecofriendly activities and should begin to look into more eco friendly ways ofliving and doing business. There are many ways to be eco friendly. The presentstudy is conducted with the aim to enlighten people about the advent of ecofriendly fibres for textile applications.


The history of clothing began with the history of humans, itis not certain when people first started wearing clothes however,anthropologists estimates that range between 1,00,000 to 5,00,000 years ago.The first clothes were made from natural elements: animal skin and furs,grasses and leaves, and bones and shells. Clothing was often draped or tied;however, simple needles made out of animal bone provide evidence of sewnleather and fur garments from at least 30,000 years ago. But now the clothinghas grown into a serious problem involving many chemical processes whensocieties have begun building their commerce. Its time again to use the fiberswhich are eco-friendly and whose manufacture do not cause any harm to theenvironment.
