The author shares his views on the changing face of global trade in terms of shifting production centers in Asia from Western countries. To support this, author has given projections for global textile & apparel trade till 2020 along with comparison for compounded annual growth rate for apparel and yarn exports for Asian and Western countries. He also explains the opportunities for India and charts down the milestone years in Indian textile industry with exceptionally strong entrepreneurs who have proudly added India on the global textile map.


He concludes by suggesting that external as well as internal factors are strongly in favor of India and would lead Indian Textile & Apparel Industry in its brightest phase in the coming decade. He adds that the regulatory and capital environment is very much supportive; which is enhanced with a host of new bold entrepreneurial leadership which is already available to provide inspiration to many others.
