Designing, Implementing and Fusing Halter, Dirndl, Fishtail & Collage (H.D.F.C) Fashion to Suit Western Outfit

Abstract

To emphasize the current fashion, the investigator had selected four particular styles namely Halter, Dirndl, Fishtail and Collage which are classical styles of Europe and Asia. Designs of each style were selected according to evaluating a performa for it. The fabric and color of each design were selected according to the traditional aspect of India. The garment was also constructed with the measurement of teenagers between 14 to 19 years. The whole garmentation process was carried out on keeping all the aspects in mind. The garment was evaluated to find out the trend, suitability of the garment. The fabric that had been used was undertaken for mechanical test to prove the quality of the garment. The colorfastness plays an important role in dress designing. Mainly staining takes place when maintenance subjected to Abrasion washing, Perspiration, crocking etc. Hence the investigator felt the need and completed the test for selected dress materials. The garment which was evaluated gave a fruitful result of satisfaction among the consumers.

A number of cities are recognized as global fashion centers and are recognized for their fashion weeks, where designers exhibit their new clothing collections to audiences.
