Job Description

Coordination with Market Places for accounting/payments.
Selecting stock coming out of wholesale businesses, together with high quality factory seconds, and putting together stock packages to sell on marketplaces.
Creating proposals for deals, including product pricing. Negotiating placements on marketplaces for these deals and maximizing exposure for the deals by proactively managing feedback and performance, and working closely with marketplaces to make the most of placements given to us.
•Communicating information on our deals packages to key partners within the business, ensuring full stock availability.
Correspondence with all Market Places for any issue.
Conducting detailed analysis of sales performance, understanding what is selling well and what isn’t, stock levels, stock deficits, sales mixes etc. Utilizing this information to drive future trading decisions.
Producing management reports and trade packs based on this data analysis and communicating the data to stakeholders across the business. Using this data to trade stock on a daily and weekly basis and implementing pricing changes accordingly to maximize sales, including promoting slow selling stock.
Bulk uploading stock sheets on all marketplaces, ensuring that the correct stock inventory is online at all times.
Using analytic s tools of all marketplaces and taking full advantage of all their available functionalities to drive the most efficient and effective use of the sites.
Managing the look and feel of the online store fronts, working closely with marketplaces and also our own Digital Design team to ensure that the layout, banners, content and imagery are optimized to make the site as customer-friendly, appealing and effective as possible, in order to drive sales. Ensuring that all landing pages and click-throughs are working correctly at all times.
Ensuring that all products are photographed and photos prepared ready for inclusion on the site.
Identifying, scoping, launching and managing ongoing and ad-hoc projects to continually improve all aspects of the Vipul page on all marketplaces, ensuring that both the front and back end, and the processes by which the channels are operated, are delivering maximum performance and efficiency.
Working closely with other departments to ensure that other processes that impact the channels are working as effectively as possible, including Logistics (stock warehousing, distribution and delivery); Customer Services (returns, queries and feedback); Digital Marketing (online newsletters, promotions) and Brand Protection (identification and removal of counterfeit or improperly acquired Vipul product from other sellers on all marketplaces).

Eligibility Criteria

  • 2-3 years in merchandising (online merchandising experience preferred)
    Experience providing in depth site analysis and proven success in making recommendations for improvement
    Understanding of leading online fashion and lifestyle brands
    Knowledge of apparel styling and merchandising principles
    Ability to prioritize and adhere to deadlines while managing multiple projects
    Highly organized and pro-active in finding solutions to issues
    Ability to communicate clearly, persuasively, and diplomatically to a wide range of personnel and levels.
    Strong understanding of core merchandising principles including range selection; analysis of best/worst sellers and making recommendations based on this analysis; creation of trade packs of management information on product performance; trading stock and managing inventory; setting prices and packaging deals etc.
