Job Description

Purchase of greige & dyed cotton, viscose, polyester and silk fabrics
Issuing and receiving for dyeing and embroidery processing
Co-ordination of all fabric approvals with merchandising department
Technical verification of fabrics (reed/pick, thread count, construction, composition, gsm etc)
Verification of chemical testing of fabrics (color fastness, harmful chemicals, flammability etc)
Receiving and bill approvals of all fabric purchase and processing work
Co-ordination of all trim approvals of styles - labels, tags, threads etc.
Sourcing, quotations and negotiations of all fabrics and trims for new styles
Planning and scheduling of fabric processing and issuing to production department
Fabric checking and reporting to senior management

Eligibility Criteria

Graduate or Post graduate with relevant experience of 7 to 12 years.
Candidate should have experience of working in textile export house and knowledge of wovens and knits fabric
Should have knowledge of dyeing mills and process and experience in fabric schiffli embroideries and should be able to coordinate with merchandising and production departments
Candidate should have knowledge of required fabric testing and should understand color lots and approval procedures
