Job Description

Create focus groups in the businesses
Create focus areas for the group and ensure alignment to the focus area e.g. quality, 6 sigma, shaan, muskaan, quality circles etc.
Leverage a team of supporters in the plants and businesses
Manage a team of supporters and train them in the respective area of excellence like 6 sigma, quality circles, tqm etc.
Proactively identify projects in the different businesses and implement them highlighting the business potential (cost savings / revenue improvement)
Lead training efforts in creating resource champions in the different businesses in the areas under focus in manufacturing excellence
Manage and promote "best-in-industry" manufacturing excellence improvement program (related to the area of expertise)
Study best practices and international standards in the respective expertise area in production, quality and technology and ensure they are implemented at the plant(s) e.g. 6 sigma, shaan, muskaan etc
Monitor, maintain, and improve the production and quality assurance program to reach a goal of zero defects
Support the company wide manufacturing excellence effort in ones area of expertise and drive continuous improvement of customer related measures
Work with the quality and production heads of different business units to leverage best practices and establish a company-wide best-in-industry manufacturing excellence program
Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement of existing products and technology (aligned to the area of expertise)
Keep track of latest development in materials, process, technology through continuous interaction with industry experts and monitoring of industry publications
Study best practices and international standards in quality and technology and ensure they are implemented at the plant(s)
Work closely with the businesses to leverage best practices and establish a company wide 'best in industry' manufacturing excellence program
