Job Description

Focus on achievement of EBITDA
Monitor various ratio analysis including turnover ratio-turnover / inventory
Closely watch out for invisible losses in the plant, besides, process losses & wastage
Accountable for packed production as per business plan & budget targets, ageing analysis & 65533; over 90 days, conversion cost
Report to VP-operations, the SBU-Head will be directly responsible for the organization’s annual business plan budgeted targets
Leading mill operations to exceeding industry benchmark performance levels including plant safety, environmental regulation compliance, process & product quality besides general functions of production, plant maintenance, sales & customer interface
Work with senior management team in developing & executing a business plan for the operation, focuses on improved financial & operating results & positions the mill for the future
Manage internal & external resources, both within the company & outside, to effectively accomplish mills objectives of quality, productivity & cost. This will be accomplished by working with mill management team to develop and implement effective operating & maintenance systems as per ISO 9000
Coordinate organizations annual budget, specific to department, support procurement of spares & consumables in time & implement systems to track department performance. Identify and implement opportunities to improve cost performance and develop a culture of continuous improvement 7 cost reduction in the mill
Lead the mill in identifying, developing & prioritizing capital investment opportunities that improve the long term value of the mill and maximize risk-adjusted returns on investment. Involves the review and recommendation of capital appropriation requests to the VP Ops & ED Ops.
Ensure monitoring of the progress of each capital project to their conclusion, review and report the performance of each project in execution and return / ROI/Payback
Monitor spending expenses as budgeted for the mill and ensure spending is managed and optimized
Be a visible & accessible leader who fosters a collaborative, performance driven work environment & communicate mill & company goals, results & direction to employees through face to face and written communications. In still a focused financial discipline and a sense of urgency in the company to meet objectives
Submit weekly & monthly operating updates to VP(OP) / ED-operations. Participate in weekly / monthly business performance review meetings with all mills in charges & sr. mgmt
Ensure production planning, material requirement and its availability on shop-floor, and mobilization of resources to meet budgeted production target
Organize resources for optimum efficiency & throughout to achieve desired quality output
Coordination with QC department & adhere to established norms-USTER standards & minimize defects / wastage
Minimize cost by evaluating maximum utilization and productivity of machines & manpower
Need based, provide support in machine erection, commissioning, servicing and troubleshooting
Developer shop-floor skills and competence of technical personnel through continuous employees training in the department
Coordinating and supporting regular maintenance, minimize machine downtime / detention
Pre plan spares and consumable requirements, support in identifying sources for procurement, process the requisition for approval and complete the formalities and coordinate with material procurement cell for timely availability
Prepare production plan administer departmental manufacturing & maintenance activities, deploy manpower to meet targeted objectives on monthly & quarterly basis
Organize systems & procedures with predetermined quality norms & ensure quality product output
Build systems, competence of departmental team through continuous employee training, enhancing efficiency, quality output as per international norms. Adhere to TQM & ISO practices & encourage team to sustain safe & orderly clean envi

Eligibility Criteria

  • B. Tech textile engineering or PG in textile technology with experience of 20 to 25 years in spinning manufacturing & administration with a modern mill, with significant senior managerial role and responsibilities with a drive to achieve targets, focusing on various systems including preventive and predictive maintenance management of plant, equipment & estate
    Candidate must be in age group of 45 to 50
    Candidate will be responsible for budgeted targets, production, quality, efficiency, overall maintenance (mechanical & electrical) spares/consumables, inventory management, co-ordination with electrical-electronics in charge for effective machine maintenance/breakdown management and provide support in machine erection and commissioning projects on time to time basis
