Job Description
Urgently looking for a SENIOR TECHNICAL MANAGER ( SWEATERS ) for one of the biggest USA RETAIL BRAND for their LO in HK.Expertise in all TECHNICAL related activities – partnering with MM and VM teams to manage yarn, fabric and sweater specification, bring innovation through yarn re-engineering as well as manage performance expectation with monitoring system to ensure bulk materials quality consistency to achieve company goals + Overview and support elevated yarns approval process from the conception to final approval to align product testing requirements + Work on Yarn re-engineering to support AUC & RSC goals besides offering better quality performance + Conduct the market research; identify and contact potential new yarn mills to develop iconic yarns based on the niche of sweater business + Establish the performance metrics and mitigate the quality risks + Support gearing up new vendors & new mills by providing technical support and training +, validate all Risk Assessment with regard to Performance Testing failures with the support of the Yarn Specialist based on company’s SOP + Guide fashion yarn mills on technical execution of trials for developing value-added yarns / functional performance + Communicate extensively with mill / vendor base to educate suppliers on the aesthetic as well as costing requirements + develop close relationship with PI function to ensure latest testing regulations for COS and to support GIS technical training and capability building is a must. In addition – strengths in Vendor and Mill management, COE team: testing / color / QA, - Brand’ yarn R&D, Design & GP + Expertise in technical specification for sweater yarns and sweater knits manufacturing ( in addition to excellent FABRIC knowledge – especially KNITS & SWEATERS ) is a must too
