SSIPL Retail Limited (“SSIPL”) was constituted in 1994and set up its first footwear manufacturing plant at Kundli, Sonepat in 1995.SSIPL became the first authorised footwear manufacturer for Nike in India in 1996.In the year 2003 SSIPL set-up its second footwear manufacturing unit at tax-holiday area of Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh; in the year 2005 the third footwear manufacturing unit was set-upat tax-holiday area of Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh; in the year 2009 the fourth footwear manufacturing unit was set-up in tax-holiday area of Selaqui, Uttarakhand and in the year 2010 the fifth manufacturing unit was set-up in tax-holiday area of Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh. Currently, SSIPL has a total of five manufacturing facilities. SSIPL’s retail foray began in 1998 with the opening of its first retail outlet.Today,SSIPL is one of the leading specialty retailer of premium international sports and lifestyle brands in India with a presence across retailing, designing, manufacturing, and franchising of sports and lifestyle products.Today between the company owned & operated and franchisee operated stores the nationwide retail network is of 378 stores across in 81 cities. SSIPL has, over a span of a decade, become the largest retailer for brand Nik e in India. SSIPL is managed by a team of young professionals, experienced in varied aspects of design, manufacturing, merchandising, marketing and quality control in the footwear and apparel industry. SSIPL’s Managing Director and one of its Promoter, Mr. Rishab Soni is a professional in footwear designing. Hehas over a decade of experience in retailing of branded merchandise, manufacturing, licensing, distribution and retailing. He is primarily responsible for managing the Company’s affairs and guiding its top management and taking strategic decisions.
