Roles and responsibilities This role is responsible to drive and lead best practice in warehouse operation and distribution in all depot warehouse.Develop and maintain a warehouse management system to ensure compliance and efficient supply chain operations fully meeting local legislations and company requirements with a view to optimize customer service, cost and inventory control objectives. Evaluate existing warehouse infrastructure, identify gaps and implement a time bound plan to meet our compliance and efficiency objectives.Create a manual of warehouse procedures to ensure a standard approach across all locations.This role will support design the warehouse with safety-first policy; design and optimize the rack layout & material flow to gain high efficiency and optimise usage of warehouse space. To Drive & enable digitization opportunities in warehouse operation to enhance efficiency & effectivenessPrincipal Accountability and Key Activities:Develop and maintain a warehouse management system to ensure compliance and efficient supply chain operations fully meeting local legislations and company requirements with a view to optimize customer service, cost and inventory control objectives. Evaluate existing warehouse infrastructure , identify gaps and implement a time bound plan to meet our compliance and efficiency objectives.Create a manual of warehouse procedures to ensure a standard approach across all locations.Identify / Evaluate opportunities for services / solutions that help improve the Safety, Speed, Cost, Reliability and Consistency of the warehouse in the supply chain.Communicate and identify the areas of operation bottlenecks for the purposes of improving lead time and customer deliveries. To meet the related KPIs, including inventory, OTIF, OTD, ship complete, ROTD etc.Work with CFAs to ensure full compliance with statutory rules and regulations.Lead and participate lean activities in the shop floor. 5S, visual management, value stream mapping, layout and logistics improvement.Manage logistic activities required for the timely and efficient transportation and warehousing of incoming and outgoing materials and distribution of products.Drive continuous improvement and operationalize Business process Innovation.Drive & enable digitization opportunities in warehouse operation to enhance efficiency & effectivenessEnsure cascading and implementation of Global standards and policies for warehouse operation, Logistic and TransportSupport, participate, and deliver in major national and regional projects (warehouse, network design, freight and fleet optimization)Coordinate with commercial and accounts team for smooth interdepartmental communication and processEnsure team on proper utilization of MHE and safety and zero breakdown for the regular and continuity of operations.Design the warehouse with safety-first policy; design and optimize the rack layout & material flow to gain high efficiency and to achieve shortest movement in warehouse and good usage of warehouse space.Forecast future space requirement by considering inventory policy, ramp-ups/ramp-downs, and equipment/operator utilization.Develop, mentor and motivate the team spread across locations to achieve higher goals
