The Chinese market has a population of 1.3 billion which can translate into a profitable venture for Pakistani products, so Pakistan should invest in China, said Ye Li Xin, Director, Shanghai Economic Technique Development Area Management Department (SETDAM), here on Saturday.
Talking to executives of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) in a meeting led by President Jalil Ahmed Malik with Chinese trade delegation Li Xin said, there is a need to search for new ways to invest and be helpful to each other in trade ventures.
With 1500 industries of textile, Information Technology, Telecom, Heavy Machinery and Equipment Shanghai pays $250 million per annum as tax to Chinese Government, Ye Li said.
Pakistan business community should go in for joint ventures and invest in Shanghai market, he said.
Pakistan has entered into various joint ventures with Chinese entrepreneurs from various regions of China with the efforts of RCCI, Jalil said.
