AAFA announces staff reorganization & promotions for future growth

The American Apparel & Footwear Association AAFA announced to reorganize the staff.

President and CEO Kevin M. Burke announced today the reorganization of the AAFA staff to continue his vision for the future growth of the organization.

“As I look toward the future of AAFA, I want to continue to establish AAFA as a growing and changing organization. As we had to re-align our staff, programs and objectives in the past, I believe it is time to do so again so that we remain fresh, creative and forward thinking,” Burke stated.

Mary Howell, previously Director of Program Development, has been promoted to Vice President of Industry Relations. Ms. Howell, who has been with the association for 19 years, has been involved in almost every aspect of the organization. She will continue to develop programs focusing on issues that are critical to the health of the industry in the area of supply chain management. Additionally, the AAFA Annual Meeting, American Image Awards, Material World Trade Shows and AAFA Website will fall under her responsibilities. She will continue in her liaison role with the Uniform Code Council, EPC Global U.S., VICS and the Vendor Compliance Federation.

Joan McNeal, previously Director of Membership, has been promoted to Vice President of Membership Development. Ms. McNeal has been with AAFA for 22 years and has served in multiple capacities touching almost every facet of the association. She will continue to oversee and expand membership activities and services, including AAFA's Issues Seminars and various affinity programs. Ms. McNeal also serves as Executive Director of the Apparel Foundation and is staff liaison to AAFA's Marketing Committee and Swimwear Division.
