KGFabriks launches B2B website for denim

Coimbatore-based KGFabriks has launched a first of its kind B2B website to enable garment makers, merchandisers, fashion and costume designers to view and order samples of denim prints, denim dobbies, denim jacquards and indigo stripes and checks.

Visitors to the website would be able to see online how the garment wash looks, and also how the garment looks on a model. This cuts down conceptualising and initial sampling time by a couple of weeks, according to a KGFabriks press release.

The website has been started with 500 initial designs in various categories and it would be expanded to show 5,000 plus designs over the next 12 months, increasing choice and collection for the customers.

Along with the website, KGFabriks has launched design services for its customers with a backend design team, to work with customers as partners.

“Customers who like a design can directly order sample types listed on the website and customers who like tweaking the parent designs a little bit can spend time on the phone with KGFabriks designers cutting down travel time and courier costs,” according to the statement.

For timely delivery of orders, the company has entered into long-term supply chain agreements with textile printers, and weavers who will get these orders and deliver fabric with base fabric and yarn sourced from KGFabriks.

Both the B2B website and the design service were in beta since January this year with a few trial customers, and their fabric approval times have dropped from a typical 60 day cycle to 30 day cycle. (RKS)
