Peerless Clothing Inc, the tailored clothing company are the first to enter into an agreement, to lease the 15,500 square feet of showroom space, in the next men's wear building, at the northeast corner of 54th Street and Lexington Avenue.
David Rosenbloom, senior director, Cushman & Wakefield, called the Peerless lease "prototypical".
They are moving from 1350 Avenue into a proposed 70,000 square feet at 641 Lexington Avenue, to be followed by others.
Other leases sent late last week to seven other prospective tenants are required to give their commitment by Dec. 31.
Rosenbloom told that the leases are below market rate because all 1350 tenants are to move together.
Rudin Management, the location's owner, is making certain changes according to tenants' specifications and revising the cost involved therein.
