On the ocassion of signing a deal for cooperation, The Viet Nam Textile and Garment Association (VITAS) President Le Quoc An informed that this would propel the textile industries of Taiwan and Vietnam towards progress.
Besides, Taiwan would assist Viet Nam to develop its fashion industry. The deal was inked between VITAS and Taiwan Textile Federation in Hanoi on December 22, 2005.
Since last five years, textile and garment industry has grown considerably. It has stood second in turnover of exports. Taiwan is an important investor in Vietnam in textile and garment industry.
Seminar on world fashion trends for 2006-2007 in coordination with Viet Tien Garment Company and Taiwan Centre of Design is to be organized. A collection of Orient Identities collection would also be introduced.
