Harold's Stores plans to open new store in Montgomery

Harold's Stores Inc, a chain of upscale ladies' and men's specialty apparel stores, has announced plans to open a store in The Shops at East Chase, a lifestyle center in Montgomery, Alabama.
The new 4,000 square foot store will feature ladies' apparel, shoes and accessories, as well as an assortment of men's apparel and accessories.
Leonard Snyder, Interim Chief Executive Officer, said, "We have had great success with our other store location in the state of Alabama, and are excited to be able to bring the Harold's concept to Montgomery."
Snyder continued, "We have a strong base of Montgomery customers already shopping us through our direct channel, and are pleased to be able to bring them a full-line store at East Chase."
The design of the new store will include the casual, comfortable feeling for which the company is known and will feature Harold's latest store design. It intends to open its new store by the end of March 2006.
Founded in 1948 and headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Harold's Stores Inc currently operates 41 upscale ladies' and men's specialty stores in 19 states. The company's Houston locations are known as "Harold Powell."
