Jose Gomez as Fashion Industry Association President

The Fashion Industry Association (FIA) is pleased to announce the appointment of its new president, Jose Gomez.
With a renewed focus and direction, the FIA seeks to unite and support the fashion community with educational programs, networking and training events, and partnerships with other like-minded organizations in the region. Gomez is uniquely suited to assist the organization with reaching these goals, having spent the last 10 years serving as CEO of Gomez Innovations, a business incubator that has helped business owners and non-profit directors in the Tampa Bay Area.
Gomez is also the CEO of the NetMinistry Technology Corporation, an Internet and IT company in Tampa, Fla. He has excelled in Internet and business development as an entrepreneur, Internet director and sales professional, and is also known for his work creating large online communities.
“I am honored to have been selected to serve the community as president for the FIA, and I hope that this will begin a new era in the fashion community,” says Gomez. “I want to see fashion professionals come together to meet our common goals, rather than dividing and struggling alone.”
Past FIA president, Alma Vidovic, has stepped down to pursue the development of her own business, but will remain an active member of the FIA Board of Directors.
The Fashion Industry Association is a Florida non-profit organization for fashion professionals. The FIA provides a monthly newsletter, seasonal trend reports, fashion events calendar, job listings and an online professional directory, as well as networking events, business seminars, business and career consulting, career fairs, and fashion shows.
