Controversy raged around last weekend's 2005 Island Auto Show that decided to stage a wet T-shirt contest.
However, organizers put up a to it calling it an amateur show and a shade of what is being currently on display in the mainland.
Tina Palacios, General Manager of the Sorensen Pacific Broadcasting Saipan, organizers of the show, said the wet T-shirt contest was one of the highlights of the evening's entertainment program.
Stating that the public was informed much late at 10 pm, Palacios argued that she had informed parents to keep their children away from the venue, particularly.
The wet T-shirt contest began at 11.30 pm, much after children's bedtime, reasoned Palacios ad she refuted claims that contesting women were prostitutes.
Business community, Palacios claimed, thanked her group for setting up the car show that drew locals and tourists in large numbers.
Palacios said confidently that they would contribute more to the community and put up a bigger show next year.
