NEW DELHI: Textiles Ministry has set a target of around $9.5 billion worth of exports for readymade garment sector.
Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) expects to achieve export targets of $9.5 billion by this year.
Around 32 percent of AEPC's exports take place during January to March period according to earlier trends.
This corresponds to around $9.3 billion worth of apparel exports.
Readymade garments exports during last 24 months have gone up in value as well as in volume, as shown by performance appraisal undertaken by AEPC recently.
