GGMA National Garment Fair 2010 opens today

The much and eagerly awaited 17th GGMA National Garment Fair 2010 began from today in Ahmedabad, Gujarat and will run till July 12, 2010. This year, the fair is anticipated to attract a large number of business visitors and will surpass all previous records and is expected to be a platform to think afresh and work out strategies to meet the new economic order.

The fair is spread over an area of over 150,000 Sq. ft. Fair and has more than 120 stalls, showcasing over 500 brands. The biggest achievement of the fair organizers; The Gujarat Garment Manufacturers Association (GGMA) has been that, all stalls were booked within a week of opening the bookings.

The fair was inaugurated today by Mr Saurabh Patel, Industry Minister of Gujarat. There is an air of optimism of the prospects of all round growth of the garment industry in Gujarat and with the economy showing signs of coming out of the lean patch caused by the slowdown due to global economic recession, manufacturers, exporters and retailers are fired with hope of a surefire revival in the very near future.
