13 firms awarded by BGAPMEA at 4-day GAPEXPO-2019 in Dhaka
The Bangladesh Garments Accessories & Packaging Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGAPMEA) recently awarded 13 companies for their extraordinary contribution to the garment industry and exports. Planning minister MA Mannan handed over the awards at a ceremony during the concluding session of the four-day GAPEXPO-2019 organized by BGAPMEA in Dhaka.

The awards were given in the categories of small, medium and large enterprises, and direct export, according to Bangla media reports. In small enterprises category, Trims International received the gold trophy, Grace Accessories bagged the silver and Poly Corr Packaging the bronze.

In the medium category, Siam Computerized Elastic Ltd received the gold trophy, KDS Poly Industries bagged the silver, and Sans Packaging and Accessories Industries Ltd the bronze.

Montrims Ltd received the gold trophy, KDS Accessories Ltd bagged the silver, and Eltafil Accessories Ltd the bronze in the large enterprise category.

Montrims Ltd received the gold trophy, Simtex Industries Ltd the silver, and Al-Muslim Accessories the bronze in the direct exports category.

A special award was given to Nur A Nazneen Khan of Green House Ltd for excellence in women entrepreneurship. (DS)
