Armenia's garment production up 33.7% in Jan-April

The production of clothing in the Western Asian country of Armenia increased by 33.7 per cent year-on-year to $15.89 million (AMD 7.54 billion) during January-April 2019, Armenian media reports said citing data from the National Statistical Service. The output of textile industry rose by 44.6 per cent to $722,500 (AMD 342.8 million) during the same period.

Meanwhile, textile exports from Armenia declined 13.1 per cent during the four-month period, compared to the corresponding period of last year, the statistical data showed. (RKS)
