Bangladesh Bank has enhanced the loan limit under Export Development Fund (EDF) to $25 million from the earlier $20 million. The new limit will be available to member companies of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA), Foreign Exchange Policy Department of the central bank said.

Under the EDF, an authorised dealer can avail loan “against their foreign currency financing of input procurement for member mills of BGMEA and BTMA,” the central bank said in a circular to all authorised dealers in Foreign Exchange in Bangladesh. (RKS)
